Atiyeh talking with Senator Bob Packwood

Senator Bob Packwood (left) gets a big laugh out of Oregon Governor Victor Atiyeh (right) as Packwood tells Atiyeh that the state Senate will not confirm him as assistant to head of the Oregon Energy Department. The point was raised when Packwood was asked if he would request the appointment from the Governor. The two men attended the annual Republican Dorchester Conference on the Oregon Coast that weekend.
