EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. EO - 85 - PUBLIC SAFETY EMERGENCY WHEREAS, I find that riot, breach of the peace, and civil disturbance are or may be occuring and continuing in Central Oregon; and WHEREAS, I find that police and law enforcement activities in Central Oregon, including the activities of all local police and peace officers, require the support and assistance of the Oregon National Guard to restore and secure peace and order and compliance with the law; therefore, IT IS ORDERED AND DIRECTED: By virtue of the authority vested in me as Governor by the Oregon Constitution and ORS Chapter 399, the Adjutant General, Oregon National Guard, shall order into active service for such period, to such extent and in such manner as the Adjutant General may deem necessary, all or any part of the Oregon National Guard in aid of civil authorities to protect life and property and to maintain peace and order and to restore and secure normal civil peace in Central Oregon.
