A speech by U.S. Congressman Les AuCoin on the Oregon housing market, the Oregon economy, the federal budget and the Gramm-Rudman Acts. In his speech, Congressman AuCoin expressed his support for the Gramm-Rudman Acts as a way to "cut spending and prioritize" the federal budget. The Gramm-Rudman Acts were the first laws to limit the spending of the federal budget. AuCoin served in the Oregon House of Representatives (1971-1975) and in the United States House of Representatives from Oregon's 1st District (1975-1993).
