Description
A statement by U.S. Congressman Les AuCoin given at the field hearings for the Magnuson Act on March 18, 1985, in Newport, Oregon. The Magnuson Act was officially H.R.5658 of the 99th Congress and titled "A bill to amend the definition of 'vessel of the United States' in the Magnuson Fishery Conservation and Management Act." In his statement, Congressman AuCoin advocated for changes to the original Magnuson Fishery Conservation and Management Act of 1976.
