Two Women at a Campsite

Title

Two Women at a Campsite

Description

A photograph of two female Pacific University students at a campsite. One is sitting at a picnic table that has guitars on it. The other is standing wearing a fur trimmed coat and a corsage. A tent and a banner with the words "Camp Beautiful Award" appear in the background. This photograph was probably taken during an Epworth League campout. The Epworth League was founded by Methodists in 1889 for young adults ages 18-35. Activities often included camping. There were several campgrounds in Oregon and Washington for different chapters of the Epworth League to enjoy. This photograph appears in an album that was compiled by Edith Hansen McGill, a 1930 Pacific University graduate.
