Title

Female Student Holding a Banjo in a Campground

Description

A photograph of a female Pacific University student holding a banjo. She is standing in a campsite with tents visible behind her. This was most likely taken during an Epworth League. The Epworth League was founded by Methodists in 1889 for young adults ages 18-35. Activities often included camping. There were several campgrounds in Oregon and Washington for different chapters of the Epworth League to enjoy. This photograph appears in an album that was compiled by Edith Hansen McGill, a 1930 Pacific University graduate.
