A newspaper article from The Index, the Pacific University newspaper. The article was published in the March 20th, 1906 edition of the newspaper. It describes a shower that was thrown by Frances B. Clapp, a 1908 Pacific University graduate, for other Pacific University students that had lost their belongings in the Herrick Hall fire. First Herrick Hall burned down on March 11th, 1906. It had served as the women's dormitory and was built in 1883 and named after former Pacific University President, Reverend John Herrick. This article appears in a scrapbook compiled by Miss. Clapp.
