Eight unidentified people pose in front of a tent. The photograph is printed on postcard stock and includes a short note to Winnette Sears, dated from Fernwood, Idaho on July 11, 1909. The author of the note says that he is having a good time working as a transitman, which was a job related to surveying and building railroad lines. The camp is likely a work camp associated with a railroad. This photograph is part of the Charles Lovell and Winnette Sears Walker Collection. Winnette was a 1906 alumna of Linfield College. Charles was an alumnus of Tualatin Academy who later became a musician and an insurance agent in Hillsboro, Oregon.
