Description
Minutes of conference meetings of the Methodist Episcopal Church's Hillsboro Circuit within Washington County, Oregon. The minutes cover quarterly meetings held between the 4th Quarter, 1866 through 4th Quarter, 1867 in Hillsboro, Forest Grove, and nearby locations. A slip of paper dated 1852 which certifies "that Rebecca Marsh has been an acceptable of the M.E. Church," is also included; it was found laid into this section of minutes. This document is part of a record book compiled between 1854-1884 by several different Methodist circuits in Oregon, centered on the Forest Grove and Hillsboro areas. The record book was found in a building on the southwest corner of Main Street and Pacific Avenue in Forest Grove in 2021.
