In a statement for a mobile home editorial, U.S. Congressman Les AuCoin advocated for mobile housing in the wake of the increased housing costs, rent, and inflation of the 1970s. Mobile housing, Congressman AuCoin explained in his statement, was a way for lower income Americans to obtain home ownership.
