The Nettie Shipley Haines photograph album features several historic homes and properties located in Forest Grove, Oregon. It includes photographs of the A. T.  Smith house, which is one of the oldest structures still standing in Forest Grove. The original owner, Alvin Thompson Smith, was one of the first Euro-American settlers in Washington County. He built the Greek Revival house by himself, completing it in 1856. Photographs of the A. T. Smith house show the back of the house with two of the original outbuildings.
