The Founders' Oral History collection  contains stories of the community activists that founded the library. They share memories of the grassroots movement that became today's Cedar Mill Community Library.

The  Community Oral History collection  was created in honor of Oregon's sesquicentennial. Sunset High School history teacher Matt Hiefield and Cedar Mill Librarian Mark Richardson supervised Sunset High School students as they interviewed local immigrants and descendants of immigrants to demonstrate the importance of immigration in the community.
