Arthur J. Prideaux oral history recording

Arthur J. Prideaux, Class of 1906

The Pacific University Archives has oral histories dating back to the 1960s. One early collector was the journalist Ellis Lucia, who recorded captivating interviews about the timber industry, early life in the Portland area and other topics related to the history of the American West. Another set of recordings includes the oral histories of Pacific University alumni such A.J. Prideaux, Class of 1906, who talks about his life in Portland in the early 20th century. A collection of recordings from the Tualatin Valley Historical Society includes a talk by editor and publisher Hugh McGilvra on 50 years of Washington County newspapers.
