The original Boxer mascot was a gift to the school from a missionary named Reverend J. E. Walker. He acquired the Boxer while on a mission trip to China. The Boxer went missing after a Boxer Toss in 1969. This photograph appears in an album that was compiled by Edith Hansen McGill, a 1930 Pacific University graduate.
