Description

William and Mary Atlee stand in the store near Banks which they owned. Their granddaughter, who would go on to be famous children's author Beverly Cleary, stands to the right of the picture.
[caption] William Slater Atlee & wife Mary Francis (Jarvis) Atlee, Granddaughter (famous children's author) Beverly (Bunn) Cleary peek [sic] into the right of the picture. Atlees [sic] retired and sold store in 1919. Mrs Atlee was a talented hatmaker and had her millinery shop on the second floor. The Atlee's son Henry J. Atlee was the postmaster.
