Description
Thirteen men stand casually in a row in a dirt field, in front of two sections of bleachers. One man, just visible in the middle of the lineup, is holding a baseball mitt; two men at the right end of the line hold baseball bats. Several of the men wear baseball-style caps, some wear derbies, and three others wear watch caps. The man in the middle of the lineup is wearing short pants with socks and what appears to be a casual t-shirt; the rest wear button shirts and pants, many with visible wrinkles and dirt smears. One man appears to be in his sock feet and has no hat. All are in shirtsleeves, and a number have their sleeves rolled up. Their shadows are long and cast behind them; the shadow of a large camera on a tripod and at least two people beside it is visible on the ground in front of the men, and what appears to be a child, blurred, watches from just behind and to the left of the lineup. The larger, covered section of bleachers has a sign reading 'Hillsboro Athletic Realty Co.' People are seated in the bleachers and a number of men are standing in the background of either side of the photo. What appears to be a power pole is visible in the left background.
