Description
A large, steam-powered harvester in a harvested field. One man stands on the deck of the machine, hand on a steering wheel. Black smoke issues from the round smokestack in front of him; a little girl in a hat with a wide brim, uplifted in back and sporting a feather, stands next to him. On the lower level, a woman leans over a rail, looking toward two other men at the back of the machine; one man sits on a deck with his feet on the ground; the other stands behind him working with the machine. The machine has metal wheels with spokes, one appears to be about the height of a grown man. Hoses and metal gears are visible. A barbed wire fence runs across the foreground of the image.
