[back][pencil] James H. Sewell. [pen] D. L. C. [scratched out, illegible, superseded by] born in - 1847 on [sic] N.E. of Hillsboro, Ore. The piona [sic] in Museum was bought by him for his daughter, Alice Sewell in ca. 1890. D. L. C. taken by Henry Sewell, James father in 1843. Donor Verne McKinney. [pencil] [illegible] Hillsboro. Father of Alice and Jim Sewell.
