Her hair is pulled back and tied with a large bow behind her head. She holds a puppy in her lap. The baby next to her sits in a carriage with wire-spoked wheels and is wrapped in several layers of blankets. The building behind them is weathered, with a wooden door and a number of plants growing alongside and on the porch on which the girl and baby sit. Photograph donated by Thomas Clapshaw.
