Title
Unidentified wedding party
Description
Black and white image of a large group of people gathered in a church for a wedding. At the center of the group stand a bride and groom; she wears a long white dress with puffed sleeves and a veil fastened closely about her face. The dress's long train features inlaid lace panels, and her bouquet appears to be made up mostly of carnations and ribbon. Two young girls and one woman to the image left of the bride wear long dresses and floral headpieces, and also hold bouquets. The men wear suits and ties. According to the board posted in the upper left of the image, average attendance at this church is about 90 people on a Sunday. This image is part of the Herbert E. McMullen bequest. McMullen was a local photographer; he owned Hillsboro Studio and also collected photographs taken in the area by other photographers.
