Unidentified wedding party in trailer
Title
Unidentified wedding party in trailer
Description
Black and white image of a group of people gathered in what appears to be the main room of a trailer house. The bride and groom stand in the center of the group; she wears a suit with a street-length skirt and has a corsage pinned on the left lapel. She holds a small Bible in one hand and her other arm is looped through the groom's. He wears a double-breasted suit with a tie. An elderly man stands behind the couple and appears to have his arms around them. To either side of the bride and groom stand their attendants, all of a similar age and dressed in the same fashion, with suits and skirts for the women and suits with ties for the men. A young girl in a plaid dress with a white collar stands in front of the bridesmaids. Candelabras and bouquets in baskets decorate the room, and a large clock hangs on one wall. A large package wrapped in plain paper sits in the middle of the floor in front of the group. This image is part of the Herbert E. McMullen bequest. McMullen was a local photographer; he owned Hillsboro Studio and also collected photographs taken in the area by other photographers.
