Black and white image of a group of young men in sailor style uniforms, arranged in two rows in front of a wall. Hanging on the wall is a lifebuoy on which is printed 'S. S. S. Rain Bow.' Sea Scouts are a part of the Boy Scouts of America, intended to provide activities and a learning experience for older boys. Hillsboro's troop was established in 1934, and at the time of this photo was led by 'Skipper' Roy L. Burnett, the man standing at the left of the group depicted here. This image is part of the Herbert E. McMullen bequest. McMullen was a local photographer who also collected images of local life from other photographers.
