Pacific University president James Miller and at the rededication of Old College Hall. A plaque is seen in front of them. It reads 'Old College Hall Restoration In Memory of Charles Gordon Burlingham 1905-1976'. Another plaque on the wall of the building reads '1850 Old College Hall Erected for Tualatin Academy, now Pacific University. First frame building on the Tualatin Plains. Academy founded by the Rev. Harvey Clark who was assisted by Tabitha Brown for care & education of the orphaned Indian & pioneer children. University classrooms 1854-1949 Oldest existing educational bldg. in continuous use in the northwest United States.'
