A group of Old Guard alumni pose on the steps of Old College Hall, the first building on the Pacific University campus, in the early 1970s. The Old Guard, or "Golden Guard," is the name Pacific University gives to its alumni when they reach their 50th Reunion year. Thus, these are likely the graduates of one of the Pacific University classes of the early 1920s.
