Description
Pacific University graduate Reverend George Washington Kennedy in the 1900's. Kennedy was from Hood River, Oregon, but he was born in Illinois in September 1847. Kennedy traveled to Oregon from Illinois with his parents by ox team and wagon when he was a child. As an adult he preached at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Baker County, Oregon. Later, Kennedy returned to Hood River and was a Methodist minister and had a small farm near Ruthton Hill. He died on May 11, 1926 and is buried at the Idlewilde Cemetery in Hood River.
