Early Social Life

Dating back to the opening of Pacific University in 1849, women have had many participants who were involved in different types of clubs and who took part in other social events as well. It is important to remember that at this time, women were seen as having a much lesser role when it came to taking part in clubs or other activities. However, the women of Pacific did not let this slow them down. They created the WMCA,  started bible studies, they formed their own debate team, and also put on different shows and dances. Regarding the early social life for women at Pacific University, it was filled with many different types of  clubs and events for women to participate in.
