More Notable Women

In this section of the Women’s History at Pacific exhibit you will see some additional women that impacted Pacific University in a very positive way. These women don’t necessarily fit into any particular other section in the exhibit so they were given their own section titled More Notable Women. These are women spanning throughout all of Pacific’s long history from Liberta Brown in 1899, Cecile Froehlich in the 1940s-60s, to Faith Gabelnick in the late 1990s early 2000s. These women each had an effect on Pacific in their own way including Mary Frances Farnham the first Dean of women, and Faith Gabelnick who was the first female president of Pacific University, earning the job with a unanimous vote from the board of trustees. With all the history and impact that these women had at Pacific, they easily could have, and deserve, their own exhibit later on.
