Mary Frances Farnham served as principal of the Ladies Department for the Tualatin Academy from 1897 until it closed in 1915. She went on to serve as the dean of women students at Pacific University for nine additional years. During the 1919-1920 school year, she served as the Professor of English Language and Literature. This picture appears in an album that was compiled by Greta McIntyre Sheeley, a 1920 Pacific University graduate.
